App Privacy Policy
Updated 16 October 2026 · Meroverse Tech
This policy describes MeroEntrance for Android, iPhone and iPad (com.meroentrance.app), operated by Meroverse Tech. For privacy questions or a data request, contact meroversetechnology@gmail.com.
Learning with or without an account
You can browse courses, watch lessons marked as free previews by an administrator, and use bundled sample practice without signing in. Other video lessons and online lesson quizzes require an account with a verified email address. Signup supports Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo addresses. We process your email, authentication information and verification requests to provide and protect your account. The app does not request contacts, camera, microphone or GPS location. There is no advertising SDK or advertising identifier collection.
Local and account learning records
When signed in, video playback positions, completion markers and recently viewed lessons sync to your MeroEntrance account. Online quiz answers, attempt timing, scores and explanations are stored by the backend so you can resume and review attempts. School activation codes link an account to an enrollment. A short account identifier may briefly appear over a video to help investigate unauthorized recordings.
Your learning profile (display name, class, optional school and daily goal), active study minutes, online test results and learning notes sync to your account. Saved lesson bookmarks and bundled sample-practice history remain on your device and are separated by account. Guest records are not automatically uploaded on signup. Search text filters the locally cached catalogue. Session tokens use Android Keystore or iOS Keychain secure storage; the app does not save your password. Signing out removes the local session, while account-specific learning records remain available for that account on this device. Android Settings → Apps → MeroEntrance → Storage → Clear storage or uninstalling removes local records. Android app cloud backup is disabled. iOS storage and backups are managed through your device settings.
Information used to deliver online lessons
When you load the online catalogue or play a video, our hosting and delivery providers receive technical request information. This includes your IP address, device or player information, requested content, request time and delivery/error information. IP addresses can indicate a general geographic area. This information is used to deliver courses, protect the service, diagnose delivery problems and measure content delivery. It is not used by us for personalized advertising.
We use Supabase for accounts, enrollments, quizzes, learning progress and the course catalogue, Vercel for hosting and playback-link requests, and Bunny Stream/bunny.net for video delivery. Purelymail delivers authentication emails through our configured email service. These providers process the relevant service data on our behalf. Online traffic uses HTTPS. We do not sell learner data. Data may be processed in countries where these providers operate.
Logged-in devices
To support account access and reliable multi-device notifications, the app and website send a random installation identifier, device or browser label, app version and recent foreground status while signed in. Authorized platform support staff can see logged-in installations, their last activity and push-registration status. This is account-support information, separate from optional aggregate analytics. We do not collect hardware serial numbers or precise location for this feature. Device activity records are removed when the associated authentication session is deleted.
Notifications
Your notification preferences and read status are stored with your account in Supabase. Inbox items expire after 30 days. If you enable mobile push, Firebase Cloud Messaging processes an app-installation identifier and push token to deliver learning updates. We store that token with your account; inactive tokens are removed after 90 days. Turn push off in the app or your device settings. Signing out disables notifications for that account on the device. Marketing updates are a separate optional preference. They may include an image and a link, and you can turn them off in notification preferences. Images are fetched from their hosting provider when displayed.
Optional usage analytics
When you enable “Help improve MeroEntrance” in app settings, Google Firebase Analytics collects app interactions, screens, session and device information to help us understand aggregate usage. Website analytics is also optional through Analytics preferences. We do not send your name, email, school, notes, answers or individual quiz scores to Analytics. Advertising personalization and advertising identifiers are disabled. You can turn optional analytics off at any time. School learning reports continue to use account records in Supabase independently of this choice.
Retention and your choices
Local learning records remain on your device until you clear them or uninstall the app. Technical request records are subject to each provider's logging and retention settings; signed-in learning records remain in your account until removed through our account-deletion process, subject to applicable retention requirements. You can use bundled practice content without streaming videos. Online catalogue updates and video playback require network requests.
For a privacy or deletion request, email the contact above with enough information to identify the relevant request. Do not send passwords or a child's unnecessary personal details. We will review the request and coordinate deletion of identifiable records we control, subject to applicable security and legal retention requirements.
Younger learners
MeroEntrance includes school learning content for children. Parents and guardians may help children choose lessons and manage the device. The native app has no public profiles, chat, user uploads or advertising. Free previews and bundled sample practice do not require personal details. A parent or guardian should supervise account creation and online learning for younger learners.
Shared website and app account
The app and website use the same MeroEntrance account for authentication, online lesson progress, quizzes and enrollments. In the app, open My Account → Delete account to open the secure deletion-request page. Sign in on that page and submit a request. Requests are processed manually within seven days, not instantly. You can also request account deletion through the website privacy and account page or the support email above. Clearing app storage or uninstalling alone does not delete server-held account records.
Changes
We will update this policy when app features or data practices change. The date above identifies the current version.
